In Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of civil aviation in the country.
During the meeting, issues of improving the civil aviation system, increasing the quality of flights and the level of safety, expediency and economic effect from the opening of new international flights in the short and medium term, as well as the regulation of prices for aviation fuel and airport tariffs were discussed.
For reference: For January-February 2018, the number of passengers carried reached 1.1 million, which is 20% more than the same indicator in 2017 (0.9 million passengers). 2 million passengers were served, which is 11% more than the same period last year (1.8 million passengers). To improve the quality of personnel training in 2018, it is planned to start construction of the Aviation Training Center in Astana with completion in 2020.
