Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting with CEO of OMV, Rainer Seele

Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of OMV, Rainer Seele.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation with the company and implementation of various joint investment projects in Kazakhstan were discussed.

For reference: OMV is one of the largest listing companies in Austria, the biggest oil company in Central Europe. OMV owns 36% of Borealis company’s assets which is planning to implement the project on production of polyethylene in Atyrau region.

OMV shareholders: Mubadala (Abu-Dabi) — 24.9%, ÖBIB (Austrian State industrial holding) — 31.5% and 43.6% of assets are in free circulation.

In Kazakhstan, the company has been working since 2004 and is the participant of LLP “Tasbulat Oil Corporation” (100%) and LLP “Kom-Munai” (95%, 5% — Kazakh partners), which ahave the right of subsoil use on the fields of Aktas, Turkmenoi, Tasbolat and Komsomol in Mangistau region.

Investments of the company for the whole period reached $1 billion.
