Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of Expert Council

Today in Ukimet Uyі, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Expert Council on the Economy.

During the meeting, issues of implementing the Head of State's policy aimed at improving the business climate, reducing administrative barriers and expanding opportunities for citizen participation in business processes were discussed. In particular, mechanisms for transferring functions that are unnatural to the state to a competitive environment were considered.

The report on the current state of the institute of self-regulation in the country and further prospects of its development was made by the adviser of the general director of Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas JSC, Zh.Kulekeev and the Minister of National Economy, T. Suleimenov. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.Dossaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Centras JSC, E. Abdrazakov, director of the Center for Economic Analysis "Rakurs" Public Foundation, O. Zhandossov, Director of Oil Gas Project LLP, Zh.Akhmetov, chairman of the Board of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, U. Shayakhmetova, director of the Center for Analysis of Social Problems public fund, M. Mahmutova, independent expert D. Sadvakasov took part in the discussion.

For reference: On November 12, 2015, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Self-Regulation" was adopted, which defined the general framework for regulating the activities of SROs.

From 2000 to 2016, 28 functions of state bodies were transferred to a competitive environment.
