The Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Council for Improving the Investment Climate in Ukimet Uyi.
At the meeting, the discussion took place concerning the expansion of opportunities for attracting foreign investment, creating favorable conditions and an impartial regime to ensure a competitive economic environment as the driving force of economic growth and innovation. The reports of the ministries on the development of the proposals made by the council’s members at the previous meeting July 12, 2018, were also considered. The raised issues were about the investment in the socio-cultural sphere.
During the discussion, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan Doris Bradbury, Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan Nicholas Brousseau, Charge d'affaires in the US Embassy in Kazakhstan T. Ling, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Michael Gifford, Regional Manager of the International Finance Corporation in Kazakhstan Cassandra Colbert, OECD Senior Competition Expert Sabine Zigelski, Managing Partner of Morgan Lewis Law Firm Aset Shyngyssov shared their opinions.
