Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with Ambassador of France to Kazakhstan, Philippe Martine

Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Philippe Martine.

During the meeting, issues of expansion of partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed. Besides, prospective directions of new investment projects in the field of petrochemistry, processing of agricultural products, tourism, public health services and education were considered.

For reference: Commodity turnover between the countries for 9 months of 2017 amounted to $2.53 billion (exports—$2.13 billion, imports—$394 million), which is 1.3 times more than in the same period in 2016. From 2005 to the first half of 2017, the inflow of investments from France totaled $13.77 billion. More than 130 enterprises with the participation of French capital, such as Total, Areva, Danone, Vikat, Peugeot, Alstom and others successively work in Kazakhstan.
