Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with Chairman of National Assembly of Serbia, M. Gojkovic

Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Serbia, Maja Gojkovic.

 

During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in various spheres of social and economic development of the two countries and implementation of specific investment projects in the fields of agriculture, industry, electric power, construction, tourism, transport and pharmaceutical industries, technological modernization, urbanization, water resources and other areas were discussed.

For reference: Currently, the commodity turnover between the countries for January-August of 2017 amounted to $33.3 million, exceeding the indicators of the same period in 2016 by 2.4 times. The volume of mutual trade for 2016 amounted to $26.3 million. The structure of exports mainly consists of agricultural products.

In Kazakhstan, 24 Serbian enterprises are registered, represented mainly in the wholesale and retail trade, as well as in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings. Within the framework of the visit of Serbian Prime Minister to Kazakhstan on November 16, 2016, the Roadmap for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia for 2017-2018 was signed.
