More than 15 thousand people found jobs through electronic labor exchange — S. Zhakupova

Today, during a press conference following the meeting of the Government, the Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Svetlana Zhakupova, answered journalists' questions about the work of the electronic labor exchange.

As part of the execution of the President’s instruction, since October 2017, the Unified Electronic Labor Exchange has been established as a free, unified digital platform for the interaction of employers, employees, private employment agencies, and online internet sites.

"The electronic labor exchange has been launched. We started with 8 thousand vacancies – literally last month. Today about 25.5 thousand vacancies are placed on the electronic labor exchange. More than 15 thousand people found work through the exchange," Svetlana Zhakupova said.

The Vice Minister also outlined the prospects for the work of the electronic labor exchange. Since January 1, 2018, the exchange will be put into commercial operation – all 199 employment centers in the country will be connected to it.

"The electronic labor exchange will receive information on the availability of vacant seats from employment centers, as well as post information from employers about the availability of vacancies," the Vice Minister summed up.

Also in the second quarter of the new year, it is planned to launch a module of simplified registration of the so-called informally employed persons. At the moment, the mechanism is being worked out.
