In pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov held a meeting on the development of science. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, sectoral government bodies, NCE Atameken, SWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the scientific community.

The Vice Premier noted the important role of the relationship between science and production, the great potential of science in the growth of labor incomes of the population. The draft Program for increasing the income of the population provides for the implementation of about 200 projects for the commercialization of scientific and scientific and technical activities with the creation of 1,700 new jobs. Tugzhanov instructed to additionally work out measures to strengthen the contribution of science to increasing the labor incomes of the population.

The meeting participants discussed the draft Concept for the Development of Science for 2022-2026 with specific measures to support scientists, modernize scientific infrastructure, and expand interaction between science, industry and business. Also, the Ministry of Education and Science presented a list of 951 promising scientific developments with an emphasis on the development of technical sciences, engineering and technology.

In addition, the mechanism for distributing deductions from subsoil users for R&D through the creation of scientific and technical councils under industry government agencies is considered.

Having listened to the proposals of the meeting participants, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed to take measures to strengthen the impact of research on the science intensity of production, to attract leading compatriot scientists working in international technology companies, to increase the share of development projects, to share scientific institutes and enterprises with laboratory equipment to solve specific tasks of the economy and social sphere.
