Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructs to create effective system for regulating social and labor relations

Topical labor issues were considered and proposals from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population on measures to regulate labor relations were supported March 19 at the Government meeting.

Prime Minister Askar Mamin, stressing the need to create an effective system for regulating social and labor relations, instructed regional akims to “keep control over the issue of preventing the emergence of social tension in labor collectives.”

“We should not allow unreasonable release of workers,” the Prime Minister stressed.

Improving the social well-being of workers is the main direction of Elbasy’s policy. Government is working to prevent social conflicts. Mamin noted examples of positive solutions to labor and social issues of workers in enterprises. Many companies supported the initiative of the Head of State to increase wages for low-paid workers. In this regard, the Prime Minister instructed to actively replicate the accumulated positive experience in all regions of the country.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population was instructed to study the proposals of the Federation of Trade Unions and Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs voiced at the Government meeting and to find a balanced solution.

“The format of work of the tripartite commissions at all levels should be reviewed, especially in the regions. You need to activate this site. Formalism in work is unacceptable,” said Mamin.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted the importance of the workplace safety. In this regard, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with central state bodies and trade unions has been instructed within a month to develop a comprehensive Roadmap for Workplace Safety and Health for a five-year period.
