Today, the working visit of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Kostanay region continues. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

During a working visit to Kostanay region Nursultan Nazarbayev visited “Milh" LLP, specializing in the production of quality products from natural milk.

The President of Kazakhstan learned about the technological process and the line for producing ice cream and fermented milk products.

The Head of State has also held a conversation with the heads of the regional agricultural enterprises.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the positive dynamics of social and economic development of the region, including growing industry and agriculture.

Much has been done lately in the region, in the social sphere in particular. Sports complexes, entertaining shopping centres are being built. Industry is growing; the region is becoming an agrarian and industrial region," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Head of State made the point of developing a road network for the regional economy in the context of creating the country’s modern transport infrastructure.

"The road means life. Building modern roads should facilitate the economic growth, reduce the cost, and improve the competitiveness of our products," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In addition, the Head of State made a specific mention of the factor of applying science and scientific achievements in the agribusiness development.

"Science decides much in agriculture. We have three agrarian universities in Kazakhstan; each has its own direction. You must demand from science what is necessary for agriculture," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

At the end of the meeting, the region’s agrarians thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the support provided by the state to the agriculture sector.

Nursultan Nazarbayev visited "Tennis Centre" and inspected the territory of the sports complex, covering six tennis courts, and three covered ones among them.

In addition, the Head of State met and talked with young tennis players.

In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan wished the athletes good health and bright victories.

The Head of State visited the Academy of Strength Sport, located in the southeast of the city of Kostanay. Nursultan Nazarbayev inspected the sports hall and talked with local athletes, as well as members of Kazakhstan's youth team in weightlifting.
