The Head of State got acquainted with the progress in the implementation of projects for the improvement of the capital, as well as information on further plans for the construction of urban infrastructure and social and cultural facilities. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed to the need to study and apply world achievements in the field of urban development in the construction of new architectural and logistics facilities in Astana.

The President of Kazakhstan noted the importance of implementing social projects aimed at improving the quality of life and comfort of living in the city.

In addition, the Head of State drew attention to the preparation and holding of jubilee events on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the capital.

"In 20 years we have managed to build a new beautiful city in the heart of the Great Steppe, which was presented to the whole world. The city became the pride of our people. Of course, this is a great merit of the city administration, builders, architects and many other participants of this process. We are going to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the capital this year. It is necessary to demonstrate to all guests the beauty, attractiveness and high standard of living of the capital that has been achieved in these two decades," the President of Kazakhstan said.

During the visit, the report of akim of Astana, A. Issekeshev, on the further development of the capital and the achievement of key indicators for improving the living conditions of citizens was heard.
