The Head of State meets with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan

During the meeting, the sides deliberated upon the matters of bilateral cooperation and continuous development of trade and economic relations, the press service of Akorda reports.

Nursultan Nazarbayev mentioned the maturity of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia, highlighting the existing potential for its expansion.

"Kazakhstan and Armenia have always had good relations. The trade transactions between our countries rose to almost 60% last year. This trend persists. I would like to mention that we should remain complacent. Governments need to pursue their efforts to strengthen bilateral ties. Our companies are in the position to invest in the economy of both states," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Head of State has also drawn attention toward the issues of labour migration and the need to expand contacts between the entrepreneurs of the two countries, stressing the existence of favourable conditions to that effect.

In his turn, Nikol Pashinyan thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the chance to meet and discuss topical issues of further deepening of interstate relations.

"Our interaction is notable for positive dynamics. I am confident that it will continue to get its due development. For us, relations with Kazakhstan appear to have special value, and it is our expectation to facilitate them in the economic sphere, including in the field of investment," the Prime Minister of Armenia said.

In addition, Nikol Pashinyan noted the importance of closer cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia as part of international organizations.
