State Program of AIC made it possible to increase production of food products – MA RK

In the first half of the year, food production increased by 7.5%. Compared with the previous year, there has been an increase in the production of flour, pasta, cereals, vegetable oil and processed milk. Vice Minister of Agriculture Rustem Kurmanov said this at a press conference on the implementation of the State Program for the AIC Development for 2017-2021 in the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Rustem Kurmanov, the potential of the processing enterprises is still not fully used, and in connection with this, the Map of the location of production capacities for the processing of agricultural products has been developed. Today, there are 1 345 active enterprises in Kazakhstan, of which the Ministry has identified a priority focus group, it is planned to develop it in the first place.

The map covers nine areas - processing of milk, meat, hides and wool, oilseeds and grains, sugar beets and potatoes. These directions are represented by 435 enterprises.

At the same time, the Map is based on three consecutive principles. The first is the maximum utilization of operating enterprises through access to credit resources and the collection of funds through agricultural cooperatives. The second is the modernization of 80 operating enterprises. The third is the construction of 79 new processing enterprises in those regions that are provided with raw materials, but do not have their own production.
