G. Issayeva: Expo-2017 has become a platform for innovations in the field of agricultural technologies

Vice Minister of Agriculture Gulmira Issayeva told about the use of innovative technologies presented at the international specialized exhibition Expo-2017 in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan today during the press conference in the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As the speaker noted, Expo-2017 has become a platform for innovation not only in the world energy sector, but also in many other sectors, including agrotechnology.

"In order to select the most interesting and new technologies, the Ministry of Agriculture has created a working group that has repeatedly participated in seminars and meetings devoted to presentations of advanced technologies in the field of agriculture," Issayeva said.

For potential application in Kazakhstan, 66 new technologies for agriculture from 15 countries have been selected. Among them are obtaining energy and combustible materials from agricultural waste, technologies for obtaining biomass of algae, fertilizers, crop cultivation technology, the use of unmanned aerial video monitoring complexes for agricultural areas and other innovative projects.

In order to obtain scientific and expert assessments, the selected technologies were sent to the branch institutes of the National Agrarian Research and Education Center NJSC.

Also, within the framework of Expo-2017, cooperation with the world's leading research centers and developers has been established. The exhibition provided great opportunities for the assessment of modern innovative agricultural technologies that will promote the development of agriculture, will help to enhance the relations between Kazakhstan and other countries, G. Issayeva concluded.
