Representatives of Kazakhstan PPP Center JSC of the Ministry of National Economy told about the development of the mechanisms of public-private partnership in Kazakhstan and joint projects with foreign investors at the press center of the Government of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan PPP Center, Talgat Mataev, answering the questions of journalists, told about participation of foreign investors in PPP projects.

According to the speaker, 116 PPP projects in total are being implemented in our country, among them there are projects involving foreign capital. For example, in Aktobe region, the project for the construction and operation of the Ice Palace worth over 4 billion tenge is being implemented by a company from the Czech Republic under the PPP.

"The uniqueness of this project is that the foreign company raised funds for financing it from THE Export-Import Bank of the Slovak Republic," T. Mataev said.

In addition, in the Aktobe region, Turkish investors are building a Medical Emergency Station within the framework of PPP. The project of modernization of the station is also carried out in the South-Kazakhstan region by Turkish investors.

"The further development of public-private partnership mechanisms and their modernization will allow attracting more foreign investors to other areas. We count on this," T. Mataev concluded.
