Kazakhstan and Turkey intend to promote cooperation in technical regulation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Mush signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in technical regulation, standardization, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment.

Thus, the parties consolidated their intentions to strengthen their partnership to expand the flow of bilateral trade, maintain mutual economic and commercial interests, protect the safety and health of Kazakh and Turkish consumers, and eliminate technical barriers to trade. In order to establish a continuous channel of technical interaction, communication and information exchange, the parties agreed to work on the establishment of a committee for comprehensive consultations and cooperation. 

In addition, Kazakhstan expressed its intention to expand the range of services provided by testing and calibration laboratories in Turkey for the calibration of measuring instruments and standards, as defined in the Memorandum of Understanding.
