Kazakhstan to send 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid to earthquake-stricken Syria — Government of Kazakhstan

The Commission on International Humanitarian Aid chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar held a meeting on 9 Feb. at the Ukimet Uyi.

At the meeting, a decision was made to send humanitarian aid in the amount of 50 tons to the Syrian Arab Republic, which suffered from the devastating earthquake. Canned food, warm clothes, winter tents, beds and bedding will be provided from the state material reserve. 

The cargo will be delivered to Aleppo by four flights operated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

It should be noted that the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the Government to provide humanitarian aid to Syria.
