Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerulan Zhamaubayev held a meeting on the development of national projects "Affordable Internet" and "Clean Drinking Water in Every Settlement".

According to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, the level of Internet connections will reach 100% by 2027. Also in 2027, 5G coverage in cities of national importance will reach 75%, in cities of regional centres it will reach 60%. And the share of Internet users in rural areas will approach 97% in 2027.

In addition, participants of the meeting reviewed the national project "Clean Drinking Water in Every Settlement", developed within the framework of execution of instruction of Head of State on full provision of population with drinking water. The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan reconsidered financing of this project. Its implementation will ensure 100% access to water services in all towns and villages by the end of 2025.

At the end of the meeting, Yerulan Zhamaubayev gave specific instructions to the state agencies concerned.
