Berik Akhmetov, rector of the Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov, told about the practical application of new scientific methods and technologies presented at Expo-2017 at a briefing at the press center of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the head of the university, the Expo-2017 exhibition affected the activities of CSUTE. 25 students took part in the volunteer work of the exhibition. Another 61 students and 28 employees visited it as guests. "Work has begun on the creation of an Engineering Center for Central Asia on the basis of our university. An analysis of international experience shows that universities that are able to implement the ideas of creating a smart university will be competitive. They can form the basis for the realization in Kazakhstan of the concept of smart education, smart economy and smart society. To develop scientific innovation activities at the university, it is planned to create a comprehensive infrastructure, including a Technology Transfer Center, a student business incubator (start-ups). It is planned to conclude agreements on cooperation with enterprises and scientific organizations of the region, the republic, near and far abroad. In general, it is expected that the implementation of smart technologies in the university will take two years," Berik Akhmetov concluded.
