Opening of National Day of the Russian Federation held at Expo-2017 with participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A. Mamin and Deputy Chairman of Government of Russia A. Dvorkovich

Today, on September 8 the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich took part in the solemn event on the occasion of the National Day of the Russian Federation at Expo-2017.

A.Mamin congratulated the Russian side on successful participation in Expo-2017, which presented the national pavilion "Russia - the Energy Potential of the Planet".

"The Russian pavilion has demonstrated the powerful energy potential and technological capabilities of the country," A. Mamin said, stressing that no country in the world can compare to Russia for the energy resources.

The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that "Kazakhstan and Russia need to jointly develop the latest technologies in the use of renewable energy sources."

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister A. Dvorkovich noted the high level of organization of the international exhibition and the creation of favorable conditions for its participants.

"It is important that the first international specialized exhibition Expo in the CIS is held in Kazakhstan, with which Russia is linked by friendship and strategic partnership," A. Dvorkovich said.

He also noted the importance of the theme of Expo-2017 "Future Energy", which “is connected with overcoming the consequences of climate change and expanding the use of new energy sources."

"In the next 20 years, the world's population will grow, which means that the world economy will continue to grow and life expectancy will increase. All this will require reliable energy supply," A. Dvorkovich said.

Expo-2017 demonstrated national achievements in the field of renewable energy sources in 115 countries and 22 international organizations.
