Nursultan Nazarbayev holds a working visit to North Kazakhstan Region

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited agricultural enterprises and agricultural lands during his visit to the North Kazakhstan region and also got acquainted with the progress of construction of houses in the village of Ilyichevka. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

During the visit to Tayinsha Mai LLP, the Head of State inspected the workshops of the enterprise and got acquainted with the technological process of processing oilseeds and producing refined oil.

"Your investments are being attracted to the processing industry for the first time, and this is an important contribution to Kazakhstan’s agricultural complex. All the products manufactured here go to the foreign market, which contributes to the increase in the country's exports, job creation and profit. All this is very important," the President of Kazakhstan said.

After seeing the enterprise, the regional akim Kumar Aksakalov reported on the results of the social and economic development of North Kazakhstan for the first half of 2018.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that North Kazakhstan region, the agricultural land of which has the highest quality of soil in the country, traditionally specializes in the agrarian sector, and stressed that a quarter of Kazakhstani grain production falls on this region.

"The potential of agriculture has not yet been used at the proper level. At the same time, the region's farmers, of course, are high-level experts in agriculture and grain production. At the same time, it is necessary to engage in the livestock sector development," the Head of State concluded.

In addition, the head of the region informed about the preparations for holding the XV interregional Kazakh-Russian Forum.

The President of Kazakhstan gave a number of instructions on expanding the agrarian potential of the region through introducing scientific achievements and digitization in agriculture, as well as enhancing cross-border cooperation, further development of industrial production and tourism, and enhancing the investment and business attractiveness of the region.

"Five Social Initiatives should contribute to resolving these issues. It is necessary to ensure their high-quality implementation on the ground," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

Tayinsha Mai LLP is one of the largest enterprises of the region’s agricultural cluster. The plant is equipped with modern equipment of European production and is capable of processing up to 1000 tons of raw materials per day. The company employs 46 people.

In addition, the Head of State got acquainted with the progress of constructing 14 residential houses for immigrants from other regions of Kazakhstan.

In the course of informal communication with the families of the migrants, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the state is taking all measures to support the settlers, and also told about his life.

"You know that I was born in the vicinity of Almaty city. At the age of 17 I left home. Having made this decision, I worked in different regions, through difficulties I became what I am today. You are doing this for the sake of the future of your children," the President of Kazakhstan said.

In conclusion, the Head of State wished the new settlers good health, success, happiness and prosperity in a new place.

In total, about 900 people moved to North Kazakhstan in 2018, comprising 235 families. All immigrants are provided with rental housing and are employed. The total amount of subsidies for relocation and cost recovery is more than 1 billion tenge.

In the course of the visit to the agricultural complex of Eximnan Agrofirm LLP, the Head of State inspected agricultural lands, got acquainted with the progress of the harvesting campaign and expressed confidence that there will be a good crop in  North Kazakhstan region this year.

Addressing agricultural producers of the region, the President of Kazakhstan noted the need to diversify agricultural production and develop livestock.

"One cannot stop at what has been achieved; it is necessary to introduce scientific and digital technologies into production. Labour productivity cannot grow without the development of the processing industry," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In turn, the heads of enterprises thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the great attention to the needs of agricultural producers and the state support of the agricultural sector.

In addition, the Head of State has seen the agricultural exhibition with samples of tractors, harvesters and other harvesting equipment assembled at the region's plants.
