Olzhas Bektenov lays flowers at legendary Kazakhstani pilot Talgat Begeldinov's monument

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov in honour of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the famous attack pilot, Major-General of Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Talgat Begeldinov.

During the war Talgat Begeldinov made 305 combat sorties, spending about 500 hours in the sky. On the account of the attack pilot he shot down 7 enemy planes and a large amount of equipment. As a result of successful reconnaissance operations Talgat Begeldinov was recognised as one of the best air trackers. The Hero's contribution to the development of civil aviation of Kazakhstan, construction of infrastructure and training of professional staff is inestimable. 

A minute of silence was honoured in memory of the frontline soldiers and all those who died during the war.
