Operational Headquarters for Anti-Crisis Measures chaired by Prime Minister

At the meeting of the Operational Headquarters for Anti-Crisis Measures, the Atameken National Chamber voiced questions from entrepreneurs, most of which are of a current and systemic nature.

It should be noted that last year the Government considered more than 160 similar problematic issues, of which 75% were resolved positively. Work in this direction continues, entrepreneurs will be regularly informed about the decisions made.

In connection with the concern of the business community regarding the transportation of Kazakhstani cargoes, the Chair of the Board of JS NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Nurlan Sauranbayev said that the transportation of goods in the export direction is carried out in the normal mode both by rail and through seaports.

Sauranbayev also reported on the absence of any barriers to the transportation of goods by rail to China and back.

In order to ensure uninterrupted transportation of goods to European countries, an increase in the volume of transportation through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in the direction of Azerbaijan and Georgia (ports: Baku, Batumi and Poti) is being worked out.

In turn, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairbek Uskenbayev noted that there is a serious potential for using the ports of Aktau and Kuryk, since the current load is only 23% and there is a large reserve.

An additional route through the Baltic ports of Riga, Ventspils, and Liepaja is also being worked out.

It should be noted that in order to increase the volume of container traffic, work is underway to open the production of domestic containers. So in 2022-2023, it is planned to containerize 2 million tons of cargo and increase the share of container traffic to 30% (export).

The head of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the regulation and development of financial markets Madina Abylkassymova, the Deputy Chair of the National Bank Akylzhan Baimagambetov and the Chair of the Board of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC Umut Shayakhmetova reported on the measures taken to ensure the stability of the financial system.
