Prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin held negotiations with the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education of the Republic of Singapore, Dr. Maliki Osman.

They discussed a wide range of issues relating to trade and economic, financial and investment, transport and communications bilateral cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Dr Maliki Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, expressed confidence that thanks to the fruitful talks, the Kazakh-Singaporean relations will continue to expand.  In turn, Serik Zhumangarin stressed Kazakhstan's interest in mutually beneficial trade and economic relations with Singapore.

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Singapore in January-August 2022 amounted to $1.2 billion, which is twice more than during the same period of 2021 ($ 0.6 billion).
