Prime Minister Askar Mamin: 32 billion tenge allocated for providing microcredits and grants for young people

At the meeting of the Government following the approval of the draft amendments and additions to the Roadmap for the Year of Youth, Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed the need to pay attention to a number of issues.

“The presented Roadmap contains some specific measures aimed at providing high-quality and affordable education, housing, youth employment, and support for young families. These are very important steps,” the Prime Minister noted and gave the following instructions.

First, akimats, together with relevant ministries, need to speed up work on determining the mechanism for issuing at least one thousand rental apartments annually to young people.

Second, it is very important to keep the issue of youth employment under control. It is necessary to develop entrepreneurship among the young. To this end, the Roadmap provides for a number of measures for the issuance of microcredits and grants for unemployed and self-employed youth in the framework of the Zhas Kasіpker project, for which more than 32 billion tenge has been allocated.

Third, the Roadmap within the framework of the Zhas Maman project provides for more than 57 billion tenge for the modernization of 200 educational institutions (180 colleges and 20 universities) in 100 popular professions.

In this regard, Mamin instructed the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, regional akimats, to speed up the work on identifying these educational institutions and the list of professions that will participate in this project.

The Ministry of Information and Social Development, together with the relevant state bodies and akimats, was instructed to take all necessary measures for the qualitative implementation of the Roadmap.
