Prime Minister of Kazakhstan met with World Bank Vice President Anna Bjerde

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov met with World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Anna Bjerde.

At the meeting, prospects for further cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Bank in the implementation of joint projects in such areas as infrastructure, digital technologies and finance were discussed.

This year, Kazakhstan and the World Bank are celebrating the 30th anniversary of cooperation.

“Over 3 decades of our partnership, we have successfully implemented more than 55 projects in various sectors of the economy, including small and medium-sized businesses, finance, housing and communal services, energy, agriculture and information technology,” said Smailov.

With regard to joint infrastructure development projects, there is a discussion of the project for the construction of the road section "Dostyk - Moiynty".

Currently, 7 projects are under implementation in the field of road construction, education and science, agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses.
