The trip includes a number of industrial enterprises to visit, as well as participation in a meeting on socio-economic development of Pavlodar region, implementation of Ruhani Zhangyru State Program and the President's Five Social Initiatives.

First, the Head of State visited GiessenHaus LLP where he got acquainted with the technological process of producing alloyed aluminum and light alloy wheels.

In addition, during the visit, the President of Kazakhstan was informed of the industrial projects implemented in the territory of Pavlodar free economic zone.

Nursultan Nazarbayev saw the samples of manufactured products, including heating radiators, spare parts for cars, wheel sets for railway cars.

The second place of visit was the Kazenergocabel JSC. During the visit, the Head of State familiarized himself with the technology of producing cable and conductor products and prospects for the enterprise’s development.

The President of Kazakhstan has been shown samples of finished products, supplied to domestic and foreign markets.

During the working visit to Pavlodar region the Head of State got acquainted with the work of Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, where there was a deep technological modernization and digitalization of production processes within the Industrialization Map of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev was informed that the modernization allowed to increase the productivity of the crude oil processing plant and to improve the quality of oil products to meet the requirements of K-4 and K-5 standards. There are new automated isomerization complexes and sulfur production units, which are managed from a central location.

The Head of State pointed out that in conditions of increasing oil production in Kazakhstan it is necessary to increase its deep processing with more finished products that meet international standards for deliveries to domestic and foreign markets.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that, despite the modernization of the three existing oil refineries in the country, there is a need for the construction of the fourth one.

Addressing the young employees of the enterprise, Nursultan Nazarbayev reminded that Pavlodar refinery is the last plant built under the Soviet Union, which was equipped with advanced equipment for the time.

"You are working in the most modern factory. Here, digitalization of production is being carried out at full speed, and new technologies are being introduced. The demand for your products increases, accordingly, your incomes also grow," the Head of State said.

Young specialists, in turn, thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the opportunity to get education in the world's best universities by Bolashak Program and apply their knowledge in practice.

In addition the Head of State participated in the meeting concerning the issues of social and economic development of the Pavlodar region.

Opening the meeting, the Head of State noted that the region's leadership is working productively, and there are positive changes.

“Today I visited enterprises, talked with people, I felt the mood of the people. Industry takes almost 50% in the structure of the economy of the region. This is a high figure among the regions of Kazakhstan," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Speaking about the advantageous geographical position of the region, the President of Kazakhstan drew attention to the fact that the Pavlodar region borders on the industrialized regions of the Russian Federation.

"There is a great potential in the field of industry, energy, transport and agriculture," the Head of State said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev dwelled separately on the issues of infrastructure development and construction of relevant facilities.

“Astana and Pavlodar are connected by the first class motorway. Now the trip takes not five or six hours, but three. Transit potential of the region is expanding,” the President of Kazakhstan noted.

Turning to entrepreneurs, the President drew attention to the issues of deep processing of raw materials and competitive production.

“Today I got acquainted with the activity of companies producing aluminum, cable products and other enterprises. We need to think over the production of building materials, window frames, dishes, aluminum foil. It is here that investments and efforts must be made," Nursultan Nazarbayev called upon.

In the course of the meeting, Akim of the Pavlodar Region Bolat Bakauov informed the President of Kazakhstan on the socio-economic development of the region and the implementation of projects within the framework of the Ruhani Zhangyru program and the President’s Five Social Initiatives.

“Following the 2017 results, the gross product of the region for the first time exceeded 2 trillion tenge and grew by 3.6%. According to the results of the first half-year 2018, the industrial production increased by 4.6%. Your order on digitalization of industrial processes at the enterprises of the region is being implemented. Over 200 billion tenge was sent for technological re-equipment,” akim of the region reported.

Following the results of the meeting, the Head of State gave specific instructions on the introduction of green technologies of the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017, the development of small and medium-sized businesses, cross-border trade with the regions of the Russian Federation, the opening of the potential of the tourist cluster in the region, the development of livestock and irrigated agriculture.

In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the Pavlodar regional universal scientific library named after Toraigyrov, where specialized equipment for readers with disabilities, projects for digitization of education and healthcare, as well as the exhibition hall of the Ruhani Zhangyru project office were presented.
