President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev holds a meeting with Minister of Religious Affairs and Civil Society, Nurlan Yermekbayev. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

During the meeting, the Head of State heard the information on the current situation in the sphere of civil society and the steps made to actualize the national policy on religion.

Nursultan Nazarbayev has made a pointed reference to the timeliness of the work carried out by the Ministry against the background of global and regional challenges of our time.

"A certain time has passed since the creation of the ministry. In modern conditions, the work of your department is very important for the country," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Minister for Religious Affairs and Civil Society reported to the President on the results of activities connected with the implementation of the state policy in the field of religious activities, the implementation of state youth policy, as well as interaction with volunteers and non-governmental organizations.

Following the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev has given a number of specific instructions.
