In an exclusive interview with PrimeMinister.kz, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development Satzhan Ablaliyev told what measures are being taken to ensure safety and improve the sustainability of roads during the flood season.

In recent years, the question of the floods has become more relevant. For example, climatic conditions are changing in some regions. As the previously constructed roads do not completely ensure the passage of melt water, especially during the spring floods, the ministry is working in this direction.

“During the reconstruction and construction of new roads, we additionally study the climatic conditions. Special studies have been carried out, so we take into account all the issues on new projects: the places of melt water are being revised, holes in some pipes were increased, all available technologies are used to ensure the safe passage of melt water,” said Ablaliyev.
