The manufacturing industry became the main driver of the industry growth. The First Vice Minister for Investments and Development Alik Aidarbayev announced this today at a briefing in the press center of the Government.
As the speaker noted, for the first 7 months the real growth of production at the processing sector enterprises amounted to 6.3% by January-July 2016. Labor productivity in manufacturing in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 5.3% and amounted to $11.8 thousand. The volume of exports of manufacturing industry in January-May 2017 was $6.2 billion, an increase over the previous period by 27.8%.
"Since the beginning of the second five-year industrialization (2015-2016), 258 projects have been introduced for the amount of about 1.7 trillion tenge, 21 thousand permanent jobs have been created, including from the beginning of 2017, 32 projects have been introduced in the amount of more than 489.8 billion tenge with the creation of 3.9 thousand jobs," A. Aidarbayev said.
In general, during the years of the industrialization program, 1 060 projects were implemented for a total of 5.1 trillion tenge, more than 100.2 thousand permanent jobs were created.
By the end of the year, more than 100 projects are planned for the amount of about 1 trillion tenge with the creation of 10 thousand permanent jobs.
Alik Aidarbayev noted that 40 projects will be implemented with the participation of foreign investors. Among the projects he singled out Prommashkomplekt LLP, Giessenhaus LLP, Marevan Food LLP.
At the same time, in addition to the projects of the Industrialization Map, it is planned to implement more than 100 projects in the Special Economic and Industrial Zones for a total of 280 billion tenge, and to provide 6 800 people with new jobs.
"The year 2017 gave rise to an increase in exports and an increase in production volumes, thereby laying a solid technological and economic foundation for the Third Modernization of Kazakhstan," A. Aidarbayev concluded.
