Government working group led by Deputy Prime Minister Gulshara Abdykalikova, composed of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Berdibek Saparbayev, Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova, Vice Minister of Healthcare Lyazat Aktayeva, Chair of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Utility Services Markhabat Zhayymbetov, arrived in Shymkent.

First, the working group met with mothers of many children, low-income families, teachers, healthcare, social welfare, culture, sports workers, representatives of civil society.

Opening the meeting, Gulshara Abdykalikova informed the population about the tasks of the government group to clarify the new social measures of Elbasy “Aleumettik Qamqorlyq.” She noted that this is the ninth region visited by the working group, and emphasized that in all areas the population with understanding and support belongs to the new social policy of the state.

At the meeting, the members of the working group made presentations on their own areas.

Thus, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Berdibek Saparbayev spoke about the measures of social support, focusing on the development of productive employment, assistance in setting up his own business, and providing targeted social assistance in a new format.

Minister of Education and Science Kulyash Shamshidinova informed the audience about measures to improve the education system, increase the salaries of education workers to 30% from June 1, and strengthen the role of teachers in society.

Vice Minister of Healthcare Lyazat Aktayeva focused on improving the quality of medical services, strengthening primary health care.

Chairman of the Committee for Construction, Housing and Utility Services Markhabat Zhayymbetov described in detail the issues of construction and allocation of rental housing, revealed the preferential mechanism for housing loans.

In turn, Deputy Akim of Shymkent Gulzhan Kurmanbekova spoke about social projects aimed at implementing the initiatives of Elbasy. Thus, in the city of Shymkent, in order to support socially vulnerable groups of the population, in 2019, 100 investment projects are planned at the expense of the city budget, of which 30 are for housing, 15 for education, 36 for engineering infrastructure modernization, 19 on transport infrastructure. As a result of their execution, over 22 thousand new jobs will be created. In addition, in May, the charity portal Meyrіm.KZ, the support centers for the disabled Belsendy Uzaq Omir Siru, Shapagat and the social electronic portal El-Komek will be commissioned. Also, 5 thousand low-income and large families annually by Sep. 1 receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of 40 minimum calculation index. This year they will receive 101 thousand tenge each.

During the meeting, members of the working group answered questions from city residents received from the audience.

At the end of the meeting, Abdykalikova handed the keys to 11 large families to the new apartments built under the Nurly Zher state program.

In the afternoon, the government group left for Turkestan region.
