Roman Sklyar holds discussion with German Bundestag delegation

First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held a meeting with a representative delegation from the Bundestag of Germany, headed by Eugen Schmidt, chairman of the Germany-Central Asia Parliamentary Group.

Deputies Thomas Baraisse, Christian Gorke, Christian Schrader and Monika Iversen, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Kazakhstan, also took part in the discussions.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the issues of development of priority directions of Kazakhstan-German trade and investment cooperation, exchanged opinions on prospective projects in the field of green economy and energy.

Having welcomed the close political dialogue between Kazakhstan and Germany, Sklar drew attention to the growing dynamics of bilateral trade and increase in German direct investment in our country.

In turn, the deputies highly appreciated the activities of the special Working Group under the Government of Kazakhstan to develop investment cooperation with German business and expressed readiness to contribute to strengthening cooperation through the specialized committees of the Bundestag of Germany.
