Rustem Kurmanov appointed vice minister of agriculture of Kazakhstan

By the resolution of the Government, Rustem Kurmanov was appointed vice minister of agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kurmanov was born in 1981 in the North Kazakhstan region. He graduated from Valikhanov Kokshetau State University. He began his career in 2003 as a leading specialist of the Economic Analysis Department of the Akmola Regional Territorial Administration of the State Agro-Industrial Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2012–2013 he served as director of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2013–2015 he was chairman of the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. From 2015 to 2016 he worked as secretary of the Agricultural Sector Committee of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan. From July 2017 to June 2018 he served as vice minister of agriculture. From June 2018 to February 2019 he chaired Kazagro Holding.
