Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin met at a business breakfast with CIS and EAEU professional youth representatives as part of the First Youth Forum of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Serik Zhumangarin noted that support for young people is the most important component of the state policy on development of human capital.
Within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021-2030 and the Concept of Development of Cooperation of the CIS Member States in Support of the Youth Volunteer Movement are being implemented. The 100 ideas for the CIS International Youth Project is a platform for rapprochement of creative youth. In May this year, the Heads of Governments of the CIS initiated an international Youth Capital of the CIS project. Kazakhstan took the initiative to complement the youth capital project with a youth forum.
"Meetings within the forum not only expand the horizons of communication youth organizations from different countries, but also is a good ground for the exchange of experience CIS countries. It stimulates improvement of youth policy in our countries," Acting Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
He also added that Kazakhstan pays special attention to creation of new, more qualitative conditions for all-round development of young Kazakhstan people. Including through involvement of youth to the process of governing the state. The Youth Policy Council under the President consists of public activists, young scientists and entrepreneurs, representatives of rural and creative youth, holders of various grants, leaders of youth organizations. A transparent and effective social elevator for young people in Kazakhstan has been established in the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. It allows the most qualified, perspective and creative young people to occupy senior positions in the system of state administration and quasi-state sector.
"During the competitions for positions, the participants of the Presidential Personnel Reserve are given preference in the first place," Zhumangarin said.
To date, 218 presidential reservists have been appointed to top positions, including 19 appointed to political ones.
