Heads of Governments of Eurasian Economic Union discuss common gas market and industrial cooperation in Cholpon-Ata

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, arrived on a working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic on Thursday, August 25, to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting.

The event was also attended by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, and the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.

In a narrow session, participants discussed the formation of a common gas market of the EEU, industrial cooperation, regulation of the alcohol market and taxation of electronic commerce.

They also considered a draft agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company, a list of priority infrastructure projects in transport, progress in removing obstacles in the domestic market of the EEU, as well as measures to expand the use of national currencies in mutual trade.

Also, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan together with the Heads of delegations participated in a meeting with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
