Today during a press conference on the execution of the privatization within the eighth direction of the Address "Effective Public Administration", Vice Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin reported that to date, the National Fund has already received 7.4 billion tenge from the privatization.
According to the Vice Minister, within the framework of the President's Address, the creation of a working group is at the final stage, it will include representatives of all state bodies, the national chamber of entrepreneurs, and the quasi-public sector.
"Prior to August 2018, we will complete this task, that is, the Government will report the results of the implementation of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan, and I think that a number of enterprises will be added to it," the Vice Minister assured.
According to Serik Zhumangarin, to date, 7.4 billion tenge came to the National Fund from privatization.
"There are instructions of the Head of State that the funds from privatization will be sent to the National Fund of Kazakhstan. Accordingly, they will be invested in accordance with the rules of the National Fund. This is a fund for future generations. To date, 7.4 billion tenge has come from privatization to the National Fund. This is mainly from the sale of objects of republican ownership," Serik Zhumangarin said.
The Vice Minister also explained that the revenues from the objects that are owned by the quasi-public sector will also go to the National Fund. However, funds from the sale of facilities by local executive bodies are transferred to the local budget and will be spent in accordance with the budget code for local budget expenditures.
Recall that the Head of State in his Address "New Opportunities of Development in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" instructed to accelerate the execution of the privatization plan, extending it by reducing the number of subordinate organizations of the state agencies. The second task to be performed within the privatization procedure is the possibility to consolidate subordinate organizations of state bodies to reduce administrative costs.
