Government reports on implementation of the Set of Measures to Control and Reduce Inflation

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov held a meeting on the issue of preventing inflation growth.

The Ministers of Agriculture, National Economy, Trade, as well as the leadership of the National Bank reported on the implementation of the Set of Measures to Control and Reduce Inflation. In addition, the meeting participants reported on operational and systematic measures to increase the volume of agricultural products, attract investment in the implementation of projects to develop trade and logistics infrastructure, as well as work to control the cost of liquefied petroleum gas, fuels and lubricants, coal, electricity and prices for socially significant foodstuffs.

The Deputy Prime Minister instructed government agencies to take comprehensive measures to maintain the target inflation corridor and prevent an increase in price increases for key commodities. The Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to intensify work to increase the volume of agricultural production, as well as to accelerate the development of an algorithm for predicting prices for socially significant food products.
