6.2 million square meters of housing commissioned this year in the framework of "Nurly Zher"

In the framework of "Nurly Zher" 6.2 million square meters of housing were put into operation this year. Vice Minister for Investments and Development Roman Sklyar said this during a briefing in the press center of the Government.

Roman Sklyar reported that since the beginning of the year, 6.2 million square meters of housing were put into operation at the expense of all sources of financing, which is 61% of the annual plan of the "Nurly Zher" program. Astana (1 680.2 thousand sq. m.), Almaty (981.6 thousand sq. m.), Mangistau region (592.7 thousand sq. m.) and South-Kazakhstan region (348.9 thousand sq. m.) occupy leading positions in housing construction. The entry of individual housing prevails in Mangistau, Kyzylorda, Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions.

According to the results of 7 months, 445.2 billion tenge was directed to housing construction, of which 75.8 billion tenge is government investment. At the expense of public funds, 8 829 apartments (541.3 thousand square meters) were built. By the end of the year, it is planned to put in commission over 16 176 apartments (948.200 thousand square meters).

Within the framework of the program, the akimat allocated 25 billion tenge to the akimats and started construction of almost 6 000 rental apartments, half of which will be introduced before the end of the year. Leased housing will be provided to the most socially vulnerable groups that do not have the opportunity to buy housing. Rent for 1 square meter of social housing is about 100 tenge without the right to buy.

Also, the important direction of the program "Nurly zher" is to support the development of individual housing construction. The state ensures that the infrastructure is brought to the land allocated to citizens for further construction. Annually 80 billion tenge is allocated for networking, of which up to 50% is planned to be used to bring engineering networks to the areas of individual housing construction. On average, this will allow for about 15 years annually to provide networks of about 40 thousand land plots.

By the results of the first half of the planned 60 thousand land plots, 23 500 sites have already been provided with networks. In 4 regional centers the implementation of a pilot project for the construction of individual houses in a single architectural style has been started. The cost of such housing is 120 thousand tenge per square meter, due to the use of up to 90% of domestic building materials.

In the pilot project, the right to buy out a finished house is granted to citizens who are on the waiting list for a plot of land. This waiting list can be redeemed at the expense of its own funds or loans of the HCSB at 5% per annum.
