This year, Kazakhstan concluded 116 PPP contracts worth about 140 billion tenge

Today, during the Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the implementation of public-private partnership projects, as well as promising sectors of the implementation of the "Program PPP" was reviewed

Minister of National Economy, Timur Suleimenov reported that to date 116 PPP contracts were concluded for a total of 139.5 billion tenge. 53 facilities for the amount of 70 billion tenge were put into operation, at the construction stage there are 63 other objects worth 69.5 billion tenge. Among them are 45 educational facilities, 27 health care facilities, 17 cultural and sports facilities, 7 service and procurement centers, 3 republican projects in the sphere of "smart city", energy and passenger transportation.

The leaders in terms of the number of concluded contracts are Karaganda, Kostanay and South Kazakhstan regions. At the same time, the leaders in terms of investment volumes (the cost of projects) are the Aktobe region and the city of Astana.

In addition, according to the reports of state bodies, 431 projects for a total of 1.7 trillion tenge are at various stages of readiness. Among them, 15 projects are being worked out at the republican level, 416 regional projects for 760.6 billion tenge are being prepared at the local level.
