The main events of the week from August 14 to 19, 2017

• This week the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev chaired a meeting in Borovoe on socio-economic development of the regions and implementation of state programs. Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in the meeting.

• On August 14, in Akorda the Head of State held a meeting with the heads of governments of the member countries of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council of EurAsEC.

• The same day in Astana, a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council of the EurAsEC member countries was held in a narrow and expanded format. Following the meeting, a number of multilateral documents were signed.

• Within the framework of EIGC the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia K. Karapetyan in Ukimet Uyi.

• Upon completion of the EIGC meeting, the event participants jointly visited the national pavilions of the EurAsEC member states at the International exhibition EXPO-2017.

• On Tuesday, August 15, during the regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the issues of preparing for the start of the new 2017-2018 academic year, the draft of the National Investment Strategy and the draft of the National Export Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan were considered.

• On the same day Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji, Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, who arrived in Astana for a three-day working visit.

• On Wednesday, August 16, the Prime Minister held a meeting with representatives of SANY Group company headed by President Yi Xiaogang. Issues of cooperation in the field of engineering, construction and development of transport and logistics centers were discussed.

• On Thursday Bakytzhan Sagintayev in Ukimet Uyi held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, Fernando Huanakuni Mamani, who arrived in Astana on a working visit. Issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in the fields of energy, culture, science and education were discussed.

• On August 19 the Prime Minister met with the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah in Ukimet үyi.

• On the same day in Astana Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the enterprises of the country's military-industrial complex.
