The main events of the week from 15 to 20 January 2018.

Last week, January 16 in Ukimet Uyi, B. Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government. The draft National Action Plan for implementation of the President's Address of 10.01.2018, the progress of privatization, measures to introduce a new format of targeted social assistance and formalization of self-employed were considered.

As a result of the meeting of the Government, a briefing for the media was held at the press center. The questions of journalists were answered by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population T. Duissenova.

On the same day, January 16, the Prime Minister held a meeting with President of Varian Medical Systems, J. Devleeshauwer.

On Wednesday, January 17, the new year's first meeting of the Council on Competitiveness under the Government was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.

Also on Wednesday, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of financial institutions.

On Thursday, January 18, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Expert Council on Economic Affairs. The issues of the implementation of the Head of State's policy aimed at improving the business climate, reducing administrative barriers and expanding opportunities for citizens to participate in business processes, as well as mechanisms for transferring functions that are not official to the state to a competitive environment were discussed.

On Friday, January 19, B. Sagintayev held meetings on the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program and on the issues innovation development.

Also last week, within the framework of the President's Address "New Opportunities for Development in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" of 10.01.2018, press conferences on the liberalization of education, privatization and the development of public electronic services were held at the press center of the Government.
