The main events of the week from 19 to 24 February 2018.

Last week, the Head of State chaired a meeting of the Security Council. During the meeting on February 21, the issues of implementing the National Security Strategy for 2017-2020, as well as the state of the socio-political and socio-economic situation in the South Kazakhstan region were considered.

On February 20, in Ukimet Uyi, Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government on the issues of flood preparedness, the activities of the AIFC and the draft National Report on the State of Civil Service.

On Monday, the Prime Minister held a meeting on the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State on the development of special economic zones, given at the extended meeting of the Government of February 9.

On Tuesday, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with representatives of Deutsche Bank AG, led by Peter Tils, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Central and Eastern Europe, where the issues of further cooperation in the areas of digitalization, investment and infrastructure development were discussed.

On Wednesday, February 21, a meeting on the development of civil aviation was held with the participation of the heads of major national airlines. The Prime Minister instructed to develop comprehensive programs for the development of large and small aircraft.

February 22 at the meeting of the Expert Council on Economics discussed issues of regional development.

Also this day, a press conference was held on the site of the press center of the Government on technological modernization of construction and housing and communal services as part of the President's Address.

On Friday in Ukimet Uyі, a meeting took place with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Kazakhstan, led by Gerard Fries. Attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade and investment, energy and petrochemistry, processing of agricultural products, tourism and other spheres.

On the same day, Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex.
