The main events of the week from 23 to 28 April 2018.

Last week in Astana the Head of State chaired the XXVI Session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

On Tuesday, April 24 in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister chaired a regular meeting of the Government. The issues of livestock development, improvement of customs administration and implementation of Astana-1 AIS project, as well as procurement, formation of a single nomenclature and servicing of medical equipment were considered.

On Wednesday, April 25, on behalf of the Head of State, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the Karaganda region with a working trip. The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the implementation of the Addresses "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", "New Opportunities Under the Fourth Industrial Revolution" and the President’s Five Social Initiatives.

On Thursday, April 26 in Ukimet Uyi the meeting of the Expert Council on Competitiveness took place with the participation of the Prime Minister.

On the same day in Astana, Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in the forum of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Kazakhstan on the theme: "France-Kazakhstan: 10 years of strategic partnership."

On Friday, April 27 in Astana, the Prime Minister chaired an Interim Meeting of the Foreign Investors’ Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Also on April 27 in Ukimet Uyi Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting to discuss the introduction of an intelligent transportation system and digitization of transport industries in the country.

A briefing on the preparation for the XI Astana Economic Forum "Global Challenges Summit 2018" was held at the press center of the Government. First Vice Minister of National Economy, Ruslan Dalenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Economic Research, Bauyrzhan Mukan, Director of the Kazakhstan Foundation for Economic Initiatives, Dinara Dzoldaspayeva, and Managing Partner of GVA Kazakhstan, Philip Serazhetdinov, answered the questions of journalists.
