On the instructions of the Head of the State, on October 23-24, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev paid a working visit to Almaty, where he got acquainted with the implementation of the President's Address "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" and government programs, as well as with the results of city streets reconstruction and plans of the transport system modernization in Almaty.

Within the framework of the trip, Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in OECD Eurasian Week 2017, where at the official opening, he delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the event and met with OECD Secretary-General, Angel Gurria, and the heads of delegations of the Forum participants.

At the meeting with the leaders of the second-tier banks and major players of the financial sector of the country, issues of development of the stock market, electronic commerce, insurance market in the conditions of digitalization, as well as asset management were discussed.

Topical issues and the most promising areas for the development of small and medium businesses were raised at the meeting with members of the Regional Council of Atameken NCE.

At the same time, Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the expansion of the business environment during visits to the large facilities: Magnum Cash & Carry LLP, EFKO Almaty LLP, AlmatyEnergoServise LLP.

During the visit to the IVF Center of the Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Bakytzhan Sagintayev was presented with innovative methods of treatment that correspond to international health standards.

In addition, Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the plan of complex modernization of the city airport.
