On October 25-26, on the instructions of the Head of State, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited Mangistau region with a working trip.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the progress of implementation of the President’s Address “Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness” and the State Programs “Nurly Zher” and “Nurly Zhol”.
As part of the trip, Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with the public of the region on the issues of social and economic development.
At the meeting with the Regional Chamber of the Atameken NCE, measures taken in the region on supporting small and medium business were considered.
In addition, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited a number of infrastructure facilities, which have a strategic importance for the country’s economy. One of them is Kuryk sea port, where the second phase of the ferry complex construction is underway. Implementation of the project will allow serving 8 ferries a day and providing the processing of planned freight traffic in railway carriages and autotrailers in the amount of 7 million tons a year. The Prime Minister was also presented with the Concept of the port’s development until 2030.
On the example of the pipe plant of Kazturboremont LLP, Bakutzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the work in the region on attracting investments and raising exports volume.
Also, the Prime Minister inspected a number of social infrastructure facilities.
