Today, on October 6 in Moscow, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov, in accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, took part in the meeting of the ministers of agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Union member states on the creation of the Council for EAEU Agro-Industrial Policy.
The meeting of this format is being held for the first time and the issues discussed at this event are of great importance not only for the further development of the intergovernmental relations of the EAEU countries, but they are of paramount importance for the development of the export potential of the agricultural sector as a whole.
Each of the speaking heads of departments of the participating states expressed their position, which will be taken into account in the future. The parties expressed hope that the creation of the Council will allow the agricultural sector to be raised to a new level.
Also during the meeting, issues of implementation of the coordinated agro-industrial policy in the EAEU, prospects for the development of the AIC for 2017-2021, issues of export potential, seed production, veterinary and sanitary control, the situation with the registration of veterinary medicinal products in the EAEU were considered.
At the end of the meeting, the Protocol of the meeting of the agriculture ministers of the EAEU member states and the draft order of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission "On the draft decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission " On the draft decision of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council "On the Council on Agro-Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union" was signed.
