The main events of the week from 18 to 23 December 2017

Last week, a meeting of the Government was held under the leadership of Prime Minister B. Sagintayev in Ukimet Uyі. The issues of rendering state services and Electronic Government development, preliminary results of the Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship, Comprehensive Employment Promotion Plans for the Regions, as well as improving the legislation in the sphere of state statistics and social security of the population were considered.

On Wednesday, December 20, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting of the Board of Directors of Kazakh Invest. Reports on the company's activities for 2017 were heard, and the work plan and the annual budget of Kazakh Invest for 2018 were discussed and approved.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Council for Economic Policy. The main directions of development of the country's economy for 2018 were discussed.

On December 22, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of the country's agricultural sector. The issues of the implementation of the State Program for the AIC Development, the Law on Agricultural Cooperatives, the stabilization of the grain market and the diversification of the export direction of agricultural products, and information on further improving the epizootic situation in the livestock sector were discussed.

On Saturday, December 23, on behalf of the Head of State, the Prime Minister B. Sagintayev and Head of the Presidential Administration A. Dzhaksybekov presented a new chairman of the board – Akhmetzhan Yessimov to the staff of the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund.
