Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructs regional akims to control saturation of food markets and eliminate resellers

Nov. 26 at the Government meeting, considering the issue of ensuring price stability for socially important food products, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions.

After hearing the reports of the ministries of national economy and agriculture on the prices of socially important food products, the Prime Minister instructed regional akims to keep under control the implementation of measures to saturate food markets, develop trade infrastructure and eliminate resellers. Particular attention should be paid to work in December, when there are many holidays. This situation should be calculated and clearly controlled.

Sagintayev also noted that, despite the harvest and the available funds on deposits in second-tier banks, the reserves in the Stabilization funds are not replenished properly. Prices are rising. In some regions, deposits are unchanged in banks, and the Stabilization Funds do not fully perform their work.

The ministries of national economy and agriculture are charged with coordinating and monitoring the dynamics of prices and the formation of Stabilization Funds on an ongoing basis.
