Yermek Marzhikpayev

He was born in 1969 in Tselinograd. 

He graduated from Akmola State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyfullin, Turan University, Kokshetau University.

He began his career in 1991 as a physical education teacher.

In 1992-1993, he was a teacher at the school in Borovoye settlement of Akmola region.

In 1993-1994, he was the director of Shonai private enterprise.

1994-2008, he was the director of Bereke-Burabai LLP.

In 2008-2012, he was akim of Arshaly district of Akmola region.

In 2012-2013, he was akim of Zerendinsky district of Akmola region.

In 2013-2014, he was deputy akim of Akmola region.

In 2014-2015, he was the State Inspector of the Department of State Control and Organizational and Territorial Work of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2015-2019, he was akim of the city of Kokshetau, Akmola region.

Since March 2019, he was the akim of Akmola region.

On Sept. 2, 2023 he was appointed Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On February 6, 2024, he was appointed Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
