Aydos Myrzakhmetov
He was born on August 12, 1981, in Zhambyl District of Almaty Region.
In 2002, he graduated with honors from the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In subsequent years, he completed a series of operational and command training courses within the national security and state guard systems.
Aidos Myrzakhmetov passed all steps of officer service in the State Guard Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, consistently holding command and leadership positions.
In January 2024, he was appointed Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2025, he graduated from the National Defense University.
He was awarded the Order of Aibyn, 2nd Class.
On September 27, 2026, by Decree of the Head of State, he was appointed Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
